Responsible for the overall development of new and existing methods to produce castings in the most timely, cost efficient manner by factoring in downstream processes so to ensure that they are not negatively impacted. i.e. fixtures and machining time.Specific duties include:- Optimisation of exisiting methods to reflect learning outcomes from R&D castings- Auditing of moulds and castings for full compliance to methods and providing feedback of non compliances to superiors.- Monitor yield performance by alloy type and identify opportunities and strategies to improve efficiency by controlled process change- Ensure all methods are designed consistently with current approved practices to ensure best possible outcomes prior to presenting methods for approval- Development of 3D models and robot tool path generation using UnigraphicsCurrent goals:- Undertake training to obtain NATA signatory status for both chemical analysis and mechanical testing. - Increase involvement and technical knowledge of centricast method development
