About Benjamin Sharpe
I spent my 20s helping to book and run different night clubs around town and learned the ropes of producing events. During my time at El Cid as the general manager, I developed my event, Silver Lake Shorts, which has since become a full fledged, 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Creating community spaces for filmmakers and animators and leveraging these spaces to raise money to support these creators is my passion. If your goals align with this, I would love to connect and discuss how to collaborate with Silver Lake Shorts and continue growing the really special thing that we have created. On the side, I am an entrepreneur and operate Best Booth LA, a growing event photo booth company, with lots of fun features such as on site printing, and gifs and boomerangs guests can send directly to themselves. I also still work part time for an event company, BME Hospitality, and am always happy to discuss booking events of all shapes and sizes all throughout town. So whether for the booth, or any other aspect of event production, I am your guy to talk to. Let's see what we can make happen!

Silver Lake Shorts is a monthly screening series held at El Cid with an audience of 200+ people that I created while I was still managing and booking El Cid.We showcase the work of local up and coming filmmakers and animators as well as more established creators, including Michael Cusack, Mike Diva, Jon Daly, and Joe Cappa.
