About Ben Shidler

I completed the Process Technician Certificate course at Wake Tech in 2021 and started working in 2022 in a clean suite in cell expansion, producing a gene therapy for Novartis. My greatest successes are related to materials handling and inventory management. I proudly took charge of filling the suite as we ran out of items. I enjoy working with warehouse staff to solve inventory discrepancies, and to remove and scrap expired inventory. I received compliments for working across departments as we expanded our Kanban program. I received awards for these tasks.I am interested in a warehouse or supply-related position because it overlaps with the inventory procedures that made my time at Trader Joe's successful. I used pallet jacks throughout my time at Trader Joe's and learned to drive lifts during my time at Lowe's hardware. I am orderly and I like to make sure things are done right. I don't like short cuts that lead to bad product or unsafe conditions. I believe in good communication, and often share why following the process is important with my coworkers.
