During my Bachelor of Commerce degree, I was approached to assist with marketing strategy and outreach by CRK Solar, who construct solar farms across NSW. This was a foundational experience allowing me to rapidly improve my interpersonal, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills. On graduation, I started work with Marva Studios, a Sydney based full-service digital agency. The skill gap was steep and forced me to learn a full spectrum of skills extremely quickly. The role has allowed me to leverage business understanding and accounting proficiency to inform management decisions and high-level strategy. On a more granular level, I have developed a deep understanding and appreciation for less traditional but undeniably effective forms of marketing. Leveraging influencer marketing, decentralised information flows and of course, social media marketing have become second nature. The strategy that informs these and where these strategies sit in terms of finding a macro level balance between brand and activation strategies has become a deep interest. In totality, my roles, both at Marva Studios, CRK Solar & prior have allowed me to curate a well-developed and comprehensive skill set inclusive of interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, an understanding of business processes and how to best manipulate them to maximise efficiencies. Finally across all roles I have leveraged and improved my problem solving and identification skills.
