Project Manager - Power Sections SustainingSlb Mar 2023 - PresentKaty, Texas, United StatesIn this position I manage a team of 10, including engineers, CAD designers, and a rapid response coordinator, while regularly reporting to top leadership at the technology center, and sometimes segment and geounit leaders. My team supports manufacturing, rapid response projects, failure analysis, product sustaining, sevice functions, and customer requests and client meetings, in addition to multiple engineering projects and new product development. -
Team Leader - Power Sections SustainingSchlumberger Dec 2019 - Mar 2023Katy, TxIn this position I manage a group of eleven engineers, CAD designers, and rapid response coordinator.I support manufacturing, rapid response projects, failure analysis, product sustaining, and customer requests and client meetings. -
Senior Mechanical EngineerSchlumberger Sep 2012 - Dec 2019Katy, TxCurrently working at the Katy Technology Center, Motor Center of Excellence (MCE).•New product design, sustaining engineering, field testing, cradle-to-grave technology product line development•Assisted in successfully building and testing a novel CNC machine designed to manufacture thin-walled Moineau motors (mud motors)•Produced numerous CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings and released to machine shops for production of parts related to the CNC machine•Redesigned a complex tool assembly to retrofit the CNC machine for producing an alternate size mud motor stator •Developed kinematic solution and procedural cutting algorithms to be used by the CNC Fanuc controller to produce the desired mud motor stator ID profile and produced simulations in Matlab to test the code -
Design And Test EngineerGe Oil & Gas Aug 2008 - Sep 2012Houston, Texas•Led the refinement and optimization of a new subsea wellhead annulus seal design•Shared responsibility of conducting functional tests on two new subsea wellhead systems in the R&D lab, which required overseeing technicians, understanding complex new systems with many interfacing subsystems, & thinking quickly and logically to resolve unexpected issues as they arose. This was the most important multi-million-dollar project in ATO with visibility up to the level of President of Oil & Gas due to its immediate and high impact on our relationship with our biggest customer.•Acted as lead engineer on subsea wellhead system annulus seal qualification testing while working with the Brazil engineering team.•Created and released many part specifications, design verification packages (calculations), wrote test specifications, procedures, facilitated tests in the lab and wrote reports•Delegated test procedure, BOM, drawing, and design calculation package creation tasks to other groups and oversaw their work•Received greenbelt level training in Lean/SixSigma and Design for Six Sigma. Also attended courses in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing and TRIZ.•Developed familiarity with American Petroleum Institute code specifications 6A and 17D. -
Mechanical EngineerAdvanced Technology & Research Corp. May 2006 - May 2008Burtonsville & Columbia Maryland•Mechanical design of 1/20 scale automated ramp for moving heavy vehicles and personnel between two ships at sea – SBIR project for ONR•Conceptual design, kinematics analysis, and 3D simulation of an at-sea robotic launch & recovery system for medium-sized UAVs during high sea states as part of an ONR-sponsored project called “Stable Platform”. It is a ship-mounted serial robotic arm, inertially stabilized against sea motion.•Part of an extensive team to develop Simulink simulations, kinematics analyses, and control system algorithms for at-sea ship-to-ship cargo transfer during high sea states for the Navy using combined serial/parallel robotic systems that actively compensate for ship motion. The project, known as HiCASS, utilizes a modified SCARA-type serial arm as the Macro crane system for gross positioning and a modified RoboCrane as the Micro manipulator for fine positioning and orientation.•Assisted in conceptual design of DARPA-sponsored at-sea robotic launch & recovery system called “SeaCatcher” for large fixed-wing UAVs. It is a ship-mounted serial robotic arm, inertially stabilized against sea motion. Created 3D simulation of Concept of Operations (CONOPS).•Assisted in Mechanical design and CONOPS of Ship-based mobile RoboCrane for ship-to-ship cargo transfer during high sea states. This was a RoboCrane mounted on the end of a SCARA-type robotic arm attached to a mobile base.
