The District and Universal Health Services are implementing a public-private partnership to improve health outcomes and health access for all DC residents and in particular our communities East of the Anacostia River. This includes the first new hospital in the District in 25 years and two regional health care facilities, one each in Wards 7 and 8. The Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health (www.cedarhillregional.com) is one of the District’s largest construction projects. When complete in early 2025, the $435M, 184 bed, full-service hospital will provide comprehensive health and trauma services, maternal health and delivery, specialty, surgical, and adult and pediatric emergency care.
