As a geologist at Tetra Tech I am able to work on a wide array of projects that include construction and remediation work, air and sub-surface gas monitoring, geophysical and seismic surveying, geo-technical boring and well installation, and ArcMap design and figure development. My field work experience includes but is not limited to overseeing and completing the remediation of hazardous (Superfund) work sites, monitoring well installation and development, assisting in surface mine design and completion, geophysical karst and sinkhole resistivity surveys, sub-slab soil gas sampling and outdoor air sampling, and Phase I & II ESAs. Within the office I help with field data evaluation and interpretation, map development and design, QA/QC of field data and data tables within reports.I am a versatile employee and enjoy working with new people and learning any and all aspects of environmental consulting.

East Texas

As a Logging Geologist at Horizon I would catch, clean and analyze lithologic cuttings, as well as monitor continuous bottoms up gas readings while drilling was in progress. By collecting an abundant amount of information I was able to generate a stratigraphic boring log that reflected what was happening in the current stratigraphy being drilled through. This information was utilized by the company geologist who, along with the geo-steerer and engineer, determined the next course of action.

As a Data Processor I utilized an array of in house software, specifically 3-D Mobile LiDAR imaging software to process and edit route data collected by Field System Operators throughout the United States. Data assets extracted from High Resolution LiDAR imagery were categorized into multiple data types such as photo-logs, pavement distress levels, vertical clearance measurements, and linear and point assets Each asset recorded was utilized by state DOTs to determine the condition of roadways.

As a graduate student I worked on a project that involved the identification and description of the ostracode fauna of the Carboniferous aged Bluefield Formation of West Virginia. The main objective of this project was to determine the paleoenvironment and paleoecology of the Bluefield Formation by correlating ostracode fauna with the lithostratigraphy, biostratigraphy, and sedimentation cycles that are identifiable within the formation.

Starkville, Ms

I was in put charge of teaching lab courses to undergraduate students, including Earth Science 1, Earth History II, and the Paleontology. As the instructor for these classes I was in charge of developing syllabus that covered the required subject matter for the course while keeping it interesting and beneficial for the students. Though challenging, I was able to teach multiple courses a semester while completing my own course work.
