Customer Service Assistant
CurrentMy responsibilities entail that I directly engage with the public and work in tandem as part of a team to complete deliveries to keep the store looking optimum. Moreover, from October 2019, I was chosen to be trained for the responsibilities of a shift manager. Thereby I was responsible for closing the shop at night and counting both the tills and safe for any discrepancies that may have occurred during the working day. Moreover, I have helped train some of the newer customer services assistants and shift managers. During the COVID-19 lockdown in late March 2020, I assumed the role of one of the shift managers as they were shielding due to medical reasons. With the lockdown, I had to adapt to the new COVID regulations that stores had to adhere to by maintaining a safe environment for customers and colleagues. I implemented social distancing, restricting the number of customers in-store and ramping up on cleaning. Ultimately, I have become more confident in myself as a worker, as I have performed at an exemplary level during such a trying time for many.
