Responsible for providing technical advice and expertise to the production unit of fan blades. This unit includes automated and manual polishing processes, machining, and chemical treatments. The role involves investment projects, tenders and relationships with various subcontractors and is a focal point between the respective quality, engineering, and production departments.Key Achievements:- Management of adaptive grinding projects: development and establishment of a new process to allow the automation of the polishing of fan blades. Creation of the algorithm by modelling each operation of the manual process and definition of the technical specifications. Creation of the project scope, technical advice on the different tenders and then responsible for the interface between stakeholders such the Manufacturing Machining Centre, the programmer and the internal client (production). Industrialisation of the process for different blades (engines CFM 56 and CF6). Production support: on-going reduction of costs and quality improvements. This included feasibility studies, test deployment and workshop monitoring, gauging repeatability and repetitivity, test results analysis using Minitab, and the industrialisation of effective solutions. Creation of a quality management monitoring system using the Lean Six Sigma Method.➢The automation of the process of grinding of fan blades saved the company €400k per year.- Junior project manager on the creation of a new €3.2m five axis machining centre. Leading the evaluation of tenders, the selection of the suppliers and the management of the winning subcontractor.- Resolution of a supplier led product quality crisis using Method 8D: supplier assistance in Taiwan (Kaoshiung). Implementation of new machining processes, complete review of the operating sequences for CMM (coordinate measuring machine) which resulted in significant quality improvements.
