Product engineer for AWD Driveline systems• Implemented design changes to production drivetrain component for specific vehicle platform to address warranty issues through use of Change Notice (CN) systems, DVP&R, and DFMEA documentation.• Developed product improvements for new model year program though cooperation with supplier and internal organizations such as NVH, Manufacturing, Durability, etc.• Interpreted test data from powertrain simulation and vehicle testing to ensure product meets in-vehicle requirements.• Maintained and updated assembly plant and vehicle service procedures based on product changes, customer warranty issues, etc.• Documented and summarized warranty issues, test results, product improvements, durability incidents and response, and other key issues for management review.

Mechanical engineer supporting DOD Program Managers• Created test plan, fabricated test equipment, performed test, and analyzed results for Six Sigma cost reduction effort for wheeled vehicle components.• Performed detailed structural and fatigue CAE analysis on drivetrain components to enable comparison between old and new generation components for use in a cost-benefit upgrade study. Specified and oversaw materials and component testing to validate modeling efforts. Co-wrote vehicle test plan, analyzed test data, and attended vehicle testing in support of modeling effort.• Performed structural analysis to verify root cause analysis of a roof flatness issue.
