Hello, my name is Ben Thompson and I am from Minneapolis, Minnesota. I am a current sophomore at Indiana University studying finance through the Kelley School of Business.Leadership has been a crucial component of my life since I was young. In high school I competed in a club called Business Professionals of America. During this experience I accepted the leadership role within my group. I would set up meeting times for the team, I would keep everyone involved, and I learned how to motivate and inspire my teammates to achieve our goal. I believe that effective leadership involves setting a positive example, listening to others, and striving for excellence in all that you do.My dedication to my studies and extracurricular activities has always been a top priority for me. In high school, I balanced course load with sports and volunteering. I am determined to continue this level of commitment at Indiana University and beyond. I am eager to learn from experienced professionals in the finance industry and to apply myself fully to any opportunities that come my way.Finally, I value strong communication skills as essential for success in any field. I have developed these skills through public speaking, writing, and within my jobs.
