In April 2021, I launched an eco-conscious clothing line, 7319 ‘Maison Chanvre’, consisting of plastic-free hemp and organic cotton garments. Throughout this journey, I have learnt key skills in production and digital marketing and have developed the ability to work under extreme pressure and time sensitivity. Operating our own London Showroom has led to gain experience in how to deal with these situations professionally and efficiently.Conducting an ecological brand has improved my abilities as a creative thinker and a problem-solver by finding efficient solutions to internal and external issues in a timely manner. I thrive in fast-paced environments, ironic when running a slow fashion brand.My passion for the development of alternatives to traditional fabrics continues to grow by participating in events such as trade shows and sustainable fabric fairs.In September 2022, I began studying Fashion Business in Paris, France to further my knowledge of the principles of fashion business, marketing and how the industry is moving towards a more environmentally focused future.During my studies, I am being taught the detailed process of fashion marketing by taking marketing principles, consumer behaviour, marketing communications, and fashion distribution. I am also gaining knowledge of technical computer skills such as Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator, as well as Microsoft Excel. Fashion History and Textile Technology have expanded my knowledge of fabric compositions and styles throughout the millennia. Lastly, after creating authentic trend forecasts in my Fashion Trends and Forecasting course with an industry professional, I can now apply them to my own personal brand, as well as to my future endeavours.In addition to running my brand and pursuing my studies, I have a dynamic understanding and appreciation of the fashion industry. I keep up to date with the latest trends, designers, and brands, and I understand the importance of storytelling, imagery, and visual presentation in fashion marketing which will enable me to develop and implement effective skills at this internship.
