Due to increased business the Quality Department expanded and hired on a full time Supplier Quality Engineer and I moved to a full time internal Quality Assurance Engineer. In addition to being a QA engineer, I also have a supervisory role over the Supplier Quality Engineer, incoming inspector, and co-op student. I am responsible for identifying and starting projects within the Quality Group as well as monitoring day-to-day activities. I am also responsible for the development and review of KPI metrics to the management team.As part of my Quality Assurance responsibilities I manage the CAR/PAR process, improvement of our products overall quality through manufacturing and final test procedures and sign-off forms, and ensuring we maintain our ISO 9001 certification. My day-to-day activities also include problem solving for internal quality defects, inspections of our product at key manufacturing stages, and addressing any quality issues identified in the field.

Responsible for the management of the supplier quality relationship for the entire Discovery Labware portion of Corning Life Sciences. This included supplier audits, investigating root causes and developing CAPAs for customer complaints, document management, supplier movement, and new launches. Supplier list included approximately 30 companies from around the world.

Responsible for developing new radial shaft seal designs, managing new projects from prototype through production, and providing technical expertise to customers and colleagues regarding current products.

Responsible for designing and conducting my own and researcher's experiments utilizing radar and seismology equipment.
