As a Research Scientist in the Myers computational biology lab working on a diverse set of projects, I was responsible for translating broad biological questions into testable hypotheses, and working with junior lab members to produce scientific results. Then using data visualization techniques and writing skills to prepare those results for publication or consumption by either a technical or non-technical audience. Some of these projects included:Applied Bayesian modeling to estimate experimental error rates. Monte Carlo simulation to explain evolutionary phenomena.Worked on application and development of BridGE algorithm to map genetic interactions in humans from large-scale Genome Wide Association Studies.

Performed research for biotechnology startup identifying potential opportunities to develop new drugs or re-position existing drugs. These activities were relocated back into an academic lab in the Fall of 2017.

Concurrent appointment at Princeton University in the Department of Computer Science as a Visiting Research Collaborator in the Troyanskaya Lab.Developed data integration methods and predictive models for genomic data.Specifically, toward improvement of novel cancer immunotherapeutics, using decision trees to extract promising therapy targets from a large collection of expression data.

Worked to understand the underlying structure of genetic networks.Integrated diverse data to derive novel evolutionary insights.Principle role in the execution and analysis of high-throughput experiments.

Worked as a junior systems administrator as part of a small team for the departments of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering.
