My time at General Dynamics OTS was most (if not all) project based. Here is an overview of what I accomplished.Projects1. Records Retention. Documented each purchase order file from the past 5 or so years and prepared them for storage.2. Made a compilation of supplier Reps. and Certs. I drew the data from individual documents and centralized them on an Excel file. This was an effort to increase efficiency for the buyers.3. Worked in Oracle to close 1000+ expired blanket purchase orders and regular purchase orders. Clearing out this old data was important for the company as they prepare to move to a new MRP system.4. Purchase order project. I worked to come up with a solution to move files related to purchase orders from paper to digital format in an effort to decrease the amount of time needed to create a purchase order.5. Supplier metrics. I helped to create a process to make a monthly supplier metrics report. This will create an opportunity for more communication and transportation throughout the supply chain.6. Created a step-by-step guide for creating a DCMA scrap report for the quality assurance department. My goal was to create a foolproof guide so that anyone would be able to run this report.
