• Whilst working at reception I played an important role in the day-to-day running of the centre by systematically organising appointment calendars. This required continuous attention to detail to ensure staff were not overstretched and patients had access to appointments at appropriate times.• My role further extended to participating in operations and sitting in on consultations. This required a high level of patient confidentiality as well as the ability to build relationships with patients and staff alike. I learnt to recognise and react to situations as they developed to maintain the smooth running of the surgery.

• I was involved with the Supply Chain Department, where my remit included assisting the Senior Buyer and providing IT solutions.• The first part of my role covered the day-to-day activities; after communicating with colleagues internally and suppliers externally I made informed decisions and ordered cost effective supplies as necessary.• My capacity to provide IT solutions was reliant upon my work with Excel. For example, I provided a spreadsheet to the shop floor manager that enabled live data tracking of the soap stocks. It also provided warnings when certain lines were low in number, so that these could be prioritised on the production line.
