• Wrote and edited content for train-the-trainer curriculum manual to engage men with religious affiliation in violence prevention education.

Safe Horizon is the nation’s leading victim assistance organization. Its mission is to provide support, prevent violence, and promote justice for victims of crime and abuse, their families and communities.I worked remotely to maintain a prospect database and present written summaries of promising public RFPs for the agency's 11 program areas.

• I led grant process for organization’s 11 program areas – impacting 250,000 New Yorkers annually – by designing proposals for public funding opportunities; oversaw submission of 17 proposals.
• Raised $26.8 million for innovative, three-year, city-wide collaboration with the NYPD to place two victim advocates in every police outpost across the five boroughs.
• Won $1 million over three years for trauma-informed services for young men of color in Brooklyn and Manhattan.
• Created agency’s grant protocol and planning tools, as well as a public proposal tracking system.
• Served on agency’s Anti-Racism Steering Committee; trained via Undoing Racism workshop.
• Co-published commentary in Social Work journal on supporting young men of color as victims.

• I led public and private grant proposal and reporting process for Streetwork (youth homelessness program) and Anti-Trafficking Program.
• Managed Institutional Grants Team calendar and databases, including Raiser's Edge and foundation prospect list.
• Responsible for $121,132 in new grant funding from government sources.
• Submitted public grant proposals with a better-than 50% success rate and $19 million awarded.
• Wrote proposals and reports for entities including: Office for Victims of Crime, New York State Department of Health, New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Oak Foundation, and Robin Hood Foundation.

• Won $450,000 in technology improvements for District 11 schools via Participatory Budgeting.

• Liaised with NYS Assemblyman, as well as City Council Representative Melissa Mark-Viverito.
• Managed school’s first Day of Service, partnering with GrowNYC and YouthBuild USA.
• Directed communications strategy for school’s largest ever MLK Day of Service (900 attendees).
