Benjamin Wild specializes in structural engineering projects for the healthcare and laboratory market sectors. A member of the McNamara • Salvia team for more than 15 years, Ben combines engineering expertise with past experience as a self-performing residential developer. This skillset has afforded Ben a unique perspective that allows him to balance the objectives of the designers, ownership group, and construction team to achieve a unified goal. Ben has a keen understanding of challenges in the healthcare and biotechnology industries including ever-evolving technologies, decant and user group coordination, expansion of older inefficient buildings to accommodate new state-of-the-art facilities, and the need to keep mission critical facilities operational during construction. In addressing these challenges, Ben encourages ‘smart’ co-location for complex projects with our team assuming an active role in defining a project’s Lean design goals. In addition to the technical market sectors, Ben also works on many of McNamara • Salvia’s retail and renovation projects and enjoys working in a team environment to create adaptable spaces.
