I am responsible for all operations of The Boathouse Youth's Centre in Blackpool. This includes 7-days of weekly activities for children and young people aged 5 to 18, financial management and ensuring the premises is kept in the best condition possible.I'm also responsible for two part-time staff and a team of volunteers to assist with their responsibilities. I work on a face-to-face basis with stakeholders, service users and other agencies to promote and develop the organisation and it's services.Finally I take on a "Project Manager" role for certain activities and events throughout the year. For example overseeing the Duke of Edinburgh project and managing parts of the School Holidays Programme or Residential Experiences.

My role was to oversee the services we deliver to our young people. My work was varied and whilst spending a lot of time in the office preparing, I was also actively seen on the 'shop floor' leading sessions and involving myself with the young people. I also took the lead on our Cycling Programme and was often seen wearing lycra!

My role was to plan and deliver sessions and activities for young people. This job was varied because as well as planning the sessions and delivering them, the role also requires somebody who is able to maintain discipline, ensure the safety of our young people and keep themselves happy and cheery!
