I have previously worked as an Associate Mechanical Design Engineer at MFT Automation where I applied engineering practices to design and model automation solutions.Initially, I worked as an Integration Engineer at MFT Automation. I worked to integrate our friction feeders, label applicators, and various other automation solutions with 3rd party equipment. I also worked to install equipment and train operators.I graduated from the University of Wisconsin Stout in May of 2020 with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in sustainability. I have had two internships directly relating to my degree. I spent 9 months at Realityworks as a Mechanical Engineering Intern. There I learned how to bring a product from an idea to conception. I helped in the areas of research, design, prototyping, and manufacturing. I also gained valuable knowledge and practice in technical writing.In the summer of 2019, I worked as a Sustainability Engineering Intern for Leinenkugel's Brewery in Chippewa Falls. I worked closely with Focus on Energy to catalog all power consumption and target areas of improvement. I became familiar with the brewing equipment and process flow, ammonia refrigeration system, and electrical schematics. For my 4 years at Stout, I worked as a Lab Tech at the Fabrication Lab on campus. As a lab tech I trained and assisted students on using a variety of equipment including a CNC router, CNC plasma table, CNC mini mill, 3D printers, laser engravers, and vinyl cutters. Working there gave me a very strong sense of how to design for manufacturing, and design around machine limitations. Training large groups of 20+ students has made me much more comfortable with public speaking and instructing.
