Usually partnered with another peer educator, we would hold weekly class meetings, schedule regular meetups to discuss how to best formulate helpful and practical lectures, fun and engaging activities, and actively communicate about students with particularly sensitive and/or difficult situations. - Scheduled time aside for either open or pre planned office hours where students would come in and meet one on one with me. Often we started each quarter with each student, slowly getting to know them, their situation, outlook on their first time in college, what their goals were, how they were going to accomplish those goals, and what steps were needed in order to get there. At times there were also situations with particular students where extreme sensitivity, understanding, genuine love and support was needed and provided. - Actively created and graded assignments, quizzes, and class group projects that were graded based on merit/effort shown, accomplishment of assignment goals, and proof of learning through application and discussion within and outside of class.- Underwent performance and review evaluations every quarter from student reviews of their class experience and evaluations from CHASS staff in order to be re-hired. Was hired every quarter the entire time I worked there.
