Administer the daily operations of the Connecticut Committee for the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), a Department of Defense program involving as many as 50 volunteers, 7,000 Reserve Component service members, and 100,000+ of their employers. Responsible for managing operations, providing budgetary and regulatory guidance, assisting with policy development, implementation, training and coordination of program services. Lead execution of program’s employer outreach, military outreach, employment initiatives, and ombudsman services in accordance with state and federal policy guidelines. Create and use systems to focus outreach efforts and track data. Serve as local military liaison facilitating engagement with public and private sector employers, recruiters, and HR departments through all manor of correspondence. Major Areas of Responsibility include: Program management, direction and delegation. Operational oversight, regulatory compliance and continuity. Budget forecasting, reconciliation and accounting. Event planning and execution(ceremonies, meetings, conferences, trainings, career fairs, bosslifts -hosting of employer tours of military facilities via military aircraft around state.) Public affairs, press releases, social media, marketing and recruiting. Interpreting, educating and advising on regulations, statutes, laws and instructions.

Coordinate all aspects of Military Family Readiness between National Guard Commanders, staff, volunteers in addition to forging relationships in the community through outreach. Develop and market all promotional materials relating to Military Family Readiness and the National Guard. Regularly train large groups of National Guard Commanders, volunteers, staff, units and others on all matters pertaining to Military Family Readiness and the National Guard. Implement and maintain all databases to track volunteers and status of National Guard Family Readiness Groups (FRGs) Charters. Plan and coordinate large scale events such as conferences and seminars. Ensure statewide compliance of FRG Charters with regulations put forth by the Department of Defense, Department of the Army, National Guard Bureau and the Connecticut National Guard. Assist National Guard Commanders on setting up their FRG Charters. Inspect Major Army Command (MACOM) and subordinate unit FRG Charters as part of the Initial Inspection Team. Advise the Connecticut National Guard Adjutant General and Chief of Staff on status of MACOM and subordinate unit FRG Charters, identifying deficiencies and drafting plans of action to ensure regulatory compliance.
