I started my career working for an automated machinery manufacturer based in Beccles, UK when I was 16 as an Electrical Fitter Apprentice. This is where my passion and enthusiasm for automation and electrical systems all started. After successfully completing a 4 year apprenticeship and gaining experience working on machines in a production environment in very different scale projects, I joined a manufacturer of automated CNC machinery for the window and door industry (Stuga Machinery). I started my journey at Stuga machinery as an Electrical Engineer and very quickly managed to get my hands on Electrical design experience and commissioning of machinery. I have a real drive for development and Stuga Machinery offered me progression into Production Management with ILM certification and in-house tuition. This role developed into Operation Management and I have developed a lot of skills and a lot of knowledge of different departments from these roles. In the back ground of all my time at Stuga Machinery, I had a burning passion to develop and progress the machinery itself. It was this desire that led me back into the electrical department as the Electrical Engineering Manager. It’s in this role that I can have the perfect mix of team management, development, tuition and of course putting some wires in holes!
