For the last 15 years, I have been immersed in organizations from embassies to international development organizations, from public education and the criminal justice system, to the Episcopal Church and small business. This has given me a unique perspective on the challenges of working and leading in complex systems. I see that all organizations are built from people and relationships – where they can either thrive and live out their vocation or, more commonly, where internal conflict and ineffective cultures create barriers to communication and effective work practices. With a MA from the Leadership Institute of Seattle, I bring a systemic focus and an innate ability to work deeply with teams, leaders and processes, helping organizations function efficiently and work creatively at fulfilling their mission and vision. Recent clients include the IREX, UN Office for Humanitarian Affairs, USAID missions in Africa and Asia, the Peace Corps the Center for Emotional Intelligence and Human Relations in Washington, D.C., and the University District Chamber of Commerce of Seattle, Washington.
