Created the first Popular Mechanics podcast - the wildly popular Popular Mechanics Show - as well as pioneering the magazine's online video presence, producing hundreds of video packages from field reporting to product reviews to service and how-to. Notable Projects include: Launching the Popular Mechanics Show podcast. As the title's first podcast, the program was an all-things-considered, longer-format variety show of reported, produced news pieces, interviews, and franchise segments with key editors. Within months of launch it rose to the top 50 podcasts on iTunes, and was producing revenue producing title. PopMechTV: Pioneered the magazine's first online-video reporting, producing over a hundred short videos from product reviews, to news items to how-to and service pieces.

Helped to create, and subsequently ran, Popular Mechanics Magazine's first dedicated research and fact-checking department. Led a team of full time and freelance researchers tasked with verifying every fact in the magazine. Additionally, I led and oversaw the magazine's in-house research and reporting assignments. Notable projects include: Lead reported for 9/11 - Debunking the Myths, a special feature in which we looked closely at the most prevalent conspiracy theories surrounding the 9/11 attacks, and debunked them all. The project was later expanded into a book. Katrina, Debunking the Myths: Through on-the-ground reporting and extensive consultation of experts, we uncovered what really happened in the days and weeks following the Katrina disaster in New Orleans and the Gulf Coast, and how we can do better next time. Media appearances include: Good Morning America, CNN, Fox News, BBC, NPR, Discovery Channel, History Channel, ABC News, and Coast to Coast with Art Bell, among many others.
