I help develop and maintain applications to support process automation and optimization for Light Ends and Alkylation Units. My job includes monitoring and troubleshooting control applications ranging from base PID controls to advanced Linear Model based constraint controllers like DMC. I help design and develop applications to optimize plant operations. For example, I led a project to revamp the DMC models and structure for a tower that limited Catalytic Cracking rate due to high levels of venting taking up space in the Light Ends gas plant. Revamping the DMC allowed us to reduce venting which was valued at ~$3M/YR and reduce propane giveaway valued at ~$1M/YR.

Provided support for programming and managing/organizing maintenance items for FANUC robotic arm used in grit blasting cell.
