Growing up in South Austin, my family wasn’t always financially stable. Without help from anyone else, my parents became economically responsible and able to support a family of three children comfortably. Watching this transition into stability made me want to help those around me in any way, shape, and form I could, especially in terms of finances. Coupled with my love for number sense and math, I decided to become an accounting major with hopes of becoming a CPA. I hope to eventually become a financial advisor/planner/consultant of some sort to help families, particularly those of lower income, budget, invest, and be more financially responsible. I’ve worked a handful of jobs to help put myself through college, including delivering pizzas, working for HEB, and for Wells Fargo.Throughout my experience working, I've developed a strong love for helping others as well as a diverse set of customer service skills in the variety of fast paced work environments that I've been a part of.I am currently a junior pursuing a BBA in accounting with plans to attend graduate school. I have a business college GPA of 3.5/4.0 and am looking for a job in the financial sector to further increase my work experience, specifically in my major field.
