Profile bio

About Benjamin Cok

Currently, I’m working at Innovations Against Poverty (IAP) to support 40+ early-stage inclusive businesses in clean energy, agri-food and WaSH across Eastern Africa and Southeast Asia in their journey towards investment readiness and impact at scale.I get excited when diving into innovative business models that aim to create social and/or environmental value besides being commercially viable. My interest and background in energy and sustainability analysis allows me to understand and reflect critically on feasibility and viability of business models presented and progress reported. I love data-driven approaches! At my current job, I led the transition to an online impact measurement and management / M&E platform for the IAP enterprise challenge fund. All team members have embraced the transition and are now actively using their live portfolio impact dashboards at fund-, country-, and project-level that I’ve built. What I enjoy most in my job is working with different people and cultures in an international and teamwork-oriented environment, meeting inspiring entrepreneurs who drive change, digging deep for impact results (getting the numbers right and capturing insights), and exploring innovative ways of working.Lastly, I find peace and relaxation in practising outdoor sports, cooking, gardening, and watching nature documentaries. My favorite sports include road bicycle racing, beach volleyball, wave surfing, snow-boarding, and ice-skating.

Listed skills include Renewable Energy, Sustainability, Sustainable Development, Life Cycle Assessment, and 17 others.
