Hi, my name is BenI'm a Chartered Engineer and Chartered Manager with an MBA specialising in Strategy & Finance.I started working for the family business in my early teens, before going off to University to attain a first-class Bachelor's with Honours in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.After graduating, I worked at an Engineering Services firm with a focus on industrial automation and digitalisation, travelling all over Europe consulting for clients in the FTSE 100, amongst others.I then moved to Siemens to develop bespoke machinery and software for product testing in manufacturing for the popular G115D distributed drives. Shortly after delivering this project, I was promoted to Engineering Team Leader, and then again to Engineering Manager. As department head, I managed 4 teams consisting of 25 Engineers and Technicians to develop new solutions for product introductions, and to maintain existing systems.As a people-centred leader, my focus is on creating an environment where all members of the team feel valued and heard. I believe that collaboration and participation are essential to achieving success, and I strive to create opportunities for everyone to contribute their ideas and perspectives. I am committed to fostering an atmosphere of open communication and trust, and I work hard to build strong relationships with my team members.
