Ran the sales division for Betterment for Business, a B2B "startup within a startup." Served as a member of the division's leadership, responsible for sales strategy, hiring, coaching and development, forecasting, and interfacing with the broader organization, all while carrying direct sales responsibilities with key strategic accounts.

Sales lead in the financial services vertical at a venture backed marketing technology start-up. One of the top performers in the organization, with multiple clients in the Fortune 500. Owned the success of the vertical, from marketing events to coaching sales development reps to sourcing and closing new business. Joined as one of the first 20 employees at NewsCred, and was privileged to see the team grow to 200+ employees; over that time, contributed to building the overall sales strategy for the entire business from the ground up.

Ran operations and strategy for NewCred's revenue team (sales, business development, agency outreach and client services). Responsibilities included completely building out and managing our SalesForce.com instance, market sizing and territory alignment, creating sales process and strategy, interfacing with other departments to help improve internal efficiencies, developing and tracking key metrics, training and support, and just about anything else that fell through the cracks.

Member of the sales and business development team. Closed deals with multinational and domestic corporations, selling a complicated SAAS product primarily into marketing divisions. Sourced outbound deals and managed inbound prospects.

University Of Pennsylvania

Worked as a research assistant in the Wellen Lab at the University of Pennsylvania. Collaborated directly with Kathryn Wellen Ph.D. in designing and running cancer cell metabolism experiments. Assisted in general lab management and attended lab meetings and conferences.

Served as the joint policy intern between Green America and the American Sustainable Council for the summer of 2011. At Green America, conducted research and wrote a report on clean energy investments and job growth in support of Green America's Clean Energy Victory Bond Campaign. Supported updates to the Green Business Network portion of the website using Joomla and also helped research for and write open-letters from the organization to various political players and generally supported the work of the Corporate Social Responsibility program.

As part of my joint internship, I conducted research on goals shared by ASBC and Green America. I supported the activities of ASBC's Climate/Energy and Small Business working groups, participated in conference calls, wrote reports and did research for the groups. I also helped maintain ASBC's Salesforce records and worked with Salsa, a web-based communications platform.

Sold ads for campus newspaper; worked with existing clients and generated over $5,000 in new client revenues, including Cosi, a national restaurant chain
