I am a motivated, independent researcher with 10 years of research experience through three academic research groups. I enjoy working in collaborative teams to address complex challenges, and I value mentoring and developing young scientists and junior colleagues. My interests center in inorganic and organometallic synthesis and the design of novel molecular, supramolecular, and metal-organic materials to address emerging challenges in data storage, medicine, and energy. I have extensive experience in organic, air-free, and Schlenk chemistry techniques, NMR spectroscopy, IR spectroscopy, UV-Vis-NIR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, Mössbauer spectroscopy, X-ray crystallography, and magnetometry. I have also maintained multiple specialty instruments including a Superconducting Quantum Interference Device (SQUID), Mössbauer spectrometer, UV-Vis-NIR spectrometer, an air-free solvent system, 3 anhydrous gloveboxes, and an automatic chromatography column system (CombiFlash).
