I currently am a member of the Global Cash Management & Intraday Liquidity team here in Raleigh. We work daily with Cash Management teams in the UK, Poland, and Asia. In my role, I manage daily business processes for CS accounts to reduce cash usages and manage risk. Working with multiple business units such as Treasury, Liquidity Planning, and Group Operations I help to ensure smooth settlement of high-value cash wires and address identified liquidity risks. In addition to my daily tasks, I partnered with Treasury and Group Operations IT to develop a real-time cash forecasting and intraday liquidity management tool to eliminate the dependency of a third-party platform and closeout regulatory/audit points set by the Federal Reserve, FINMA, and KPMG. I acted as the subject matter expert and project manager for the global cash management team to identify data gaps through analysis, communicate daily with IT to resolve outstanding issues, and stress test enhancement in a UAT(test) environment. The project is on track to be successfully completed within the three-year time line.

I participated in the Operations Summer Analyst Internship program with Credit Suisse during the summer of 2017. During my internship, I worked closely with a group of 5 interns on a comprehensive project to manage global operations teams in Japan, India, Europe, Australia, & etc. While managing these teams, we identified and restructured failed processes saving the company money, time, and resources. Additionally, I assisted in developing an Excel Macro to unify important information spread across 10 different reports. This tool reduced management oversight from 60 minutes to 5 minutes daily. Finally, the team and I presented weekly to the Director of Operations (Raleigh), Regional Managers, and Analysts about adjustments to the procedures, concerns moving forward, and the final impact of the project. This project allowed me to gain hands on experience in the operations department, specifically in the settlement and reconciliations division, at Credit Suisse. Through my daily tasks, I gained experience trouble shooting failed trades and transfers. These opportunities taught me the interworkings of a trade, further developed my Excel skills, and enhanced my ability to work efficiently with a team. In conclusion, this internship furthered my interest in the finance and banking industry. I hope to continue to build off the valuable knowledge I have gained during this summer internship.

As the Sustainability Metrics Intern I assisted with projects related to Elon’s climate neutrality goal, specifically Elon’s next GHG (Greenhouse Gas) inventory, and Elon’s STARS (Sustainability Tracking Assessment and Rating System) report.My primary responsibilities included collecting and analyzing all of the relevant data for fiscal years 2016 from university departments, entering it into a GHG inventory tool and collecting and organizing data to update Elon’s STARS information.
