About Benjamin Fahrer

The focus of my work is nested in soil health, seeds and the of rehydration of the land through integrated farm design. For over 2 decades I have been assisting nature in direct land stewardship and building ecological systems. This translates into "agricultural systems" that also includes Urban Agriculture models. Today as we face intense challenges It is imperative to restore a mutually beneficial relationship with the ecosystem in which we live. I have worked in both the private and public sector navigating projects at scale for positive impact. As a project manager I have had experience with large scale projects managing teams as well as extensive experience as a director, educator and vocal advocate of regenerative practices. Working internationally on Regenerative Agroecology I have also worked closely with Bioneers and EcoFarm conferences since 1997 on planning committees as well as presenting. Influenced strongly by SLOW food Terra Madre Summit in 2006 and the International Permaculture Convergence. I've go e in to present and teach courses at multiple other centers, conferences and summits around the world The issues we face as a society, culture and species are monumental. The solutions are all present, some complex and other rather simple and available to us to implement at a personal and community level. I want to help build in collaboration with community and advocate for restorative and regenerative land stewardship, to hopefully achieve resiliency as a culture. We must grow the food we wish to eat in the world. And its not just what we grow but truly how.

Listed skills include Sustainability, Public Speaking, Ecology, Nonprofits, and 17 others.

The first phase of this project is to assist well-established, exemplary ROC™ farms who have been pioneers in their work to promote the solutions and unique techniques they have employed to earn the certification. The goal is that a successful outreach and coordinated effort from ROA with these host farms can better assist other farmers in the area transitioning to Regenerative Organic Certified®, as well as onboard other stakeholders who want to be educated in the process and desired outcomes of this style of farming and land stewardship. If successful, Phase 2 could build off this work within these bioregions and replicate other ROLCs in succession throughout the country. Show less
