Led a project to gather data from community hatcheries in the Department of Fisheries and Oceans Salmonid Enhancement Program to determine their current practices, needs, and to produce recommendations on how to increase their effectiveness. This was done through interviewing Community Advisors and hatchery participants across the province for over 80 hours and producing a report summarizing the findings. This required the management and manipulation of large datasets and creative approaches in data summarization. Gained hands-on experience in hatchery practices such as egg collection and fertilization, fin clipping, and feeding. The resulting report can be found attached.
