I am directing Africa Basel, the international art fair for contemporary art, specializing in works and artists from Africa and its diaspora. As a platform for creative expression and cultural exchange, Africa Basel presents a wide range of artworks that reflect the dynamic and diverse art scene of the African continent. The fair promotes dialog between galleries, collectors, artists and art enthusiasts and helps to further strengthen the growing global interest in African art. Located in the heart of Basel and taking place during Art Basel week, Africa Basel is a central meeting place to explore new perspectives and celebrate Africa's rich artistic traditions and innovations.

The CAP Association is a not for profit association based in Basel, Switzerland founded with the aim of executing African photography projects in November 2016. The association was initiated through projects that were previously started in the frame work of Verein Liaison. Today the association executes the CAP Prize for Contemporary African Photography awarded annually to five photographic portfolios that engage with the African continent or its diaspora. This annual celebration of African photography quickly led to the implementation of a festival titled IAF Festival for Contemporary Art. Another project is the Edition POCPAP a limited print edition of a number of POPCAP winners photographs that are for sale online and through exhibitions. In addition the CAP Association offers a workshop and coaching program labeled CAP Academy, tought mainly by the winners of the CAP Prize, to foster photographic practices on the African continent.

He has lived in Berlin, Germany, since completing his studies at the Basel College of Art in Switzerland, and at the Utrecht College of Art in the Netherlands. In his artistic practice he questions social conventions and explores their visual transformations. His particular interest is photography as a medium for visualising the shifts in the human image.
