I’m a mechanical engineer with over 8 years of experience, passionate about designing things and implementing manufacturing processes to see products come to life. From my childhood, I had an insatiable curiosity of how things worked. With a passion for aircraft design and space travel, I obtained a degree in aeronautical & astronautical Engineering. After working for a few years, I went ahead and earned my master’s degree in mechanical engineering to further improve on my knowledge in the field, obtaining valuable experience in numerical methods, heat transfer, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, aerodynamics, propulsion and so on.Until recently, I worked as a design engineer, developing and manufacturing products for aircraft seats. My experience gave me the opportunity to work with various airlines and aircraft seat manufacturers to optimize the design and manufacture of seat components. With a focus on Design for Manufacture (DFM), some of my key achievements included overseeing the design and manufacture of seat diaphragms which improved weight savings on the whole structure. In addition, I gained a lot experience using CAD systems like AutoCAD and Inventor, and working with manufacturing engineers to implement Lean Manufacturing methodologies to streamline production.My passion for learning continues to this day. I’m currently pursuing training in CNC machining, after which I will obtain the experience to operate a 5-axis mill/ turn machine and CAD/CAM systems such as Mastercam and Solidworks.I'm always interested in connecting with people from all walks of life.
