Achieved this by ensuring tests were carried out to a high degree of accuracy, systems were proven to be in good work order though use of rigorous testing, and good quality materials were installed to ensure excellent operation. Excellent communication skills were required. Complaints, explanations as to the results of reports and inspections, and full intentions for repairs had to be considered and delivered to the tenant, the client, and often the property owner. This would include but was not limited to, site visits, offering reports as to the details surrounding the nature of the work and compiling suitable enough detail to enable other workers to take on existing works. Role required a solution focused approach to works with a worker that could work to their own initiative and make good decisions in terms of time management, material procurement, and managing customer and client expectation. Manage account for block management client to ensure works to fire alarm system and emergency lighting were being priced, detailed, and issued to client in a timely fashion.

Establish and maintain competent person scheme membership with the NICEIC as an approved contractor. Ensure ongoing customer retention by use of email marketing, running leafleting campaigns, and utilising social media and google. Customer base comprised of: Small to medium scale builders with projects including ranging from renovations to extensions. Supplying alterations, adaptations, and new wiring systems to the building projects on behalf of the builder/main contractor. Home owners requiring small repairs, wiring upgrades, extension wiring, and complete new systems.A major growing part of the business was TV installation services. Much of the technology that accompanies TV installation became a growth area whereby data networks, data cabinets and HDMI over cat 6 systems were installed. To better reduce the footprint of the fixed wiring and equipment, contractors were requested to make alterations to build fabrications to accommodate these wires. Installing pipe systems capable of allowing for cables to be added or removed after installation began being installed regularly. A practise that remains fairly niche.

Part of the in-house maintenance team for a portfolio of properties in and around Knightsbridge. Reactive maintenance made up around 60% of the work whereby much of the callouts were for faulty lighting or power interruption. A program of upgrades to the electrical distribution in the buildings and LED upgrades from Halogen made up the remaining 40% of the working day. Example of works: Upgrade to 4 consumer units with 14 circuits each with 35mm 3 phase incoming supply. Intake room required new cable tray fixed to uni-strut to support 4 MEM shield 3 boards with with full RCBO to every circuit. Circuits to be identified and detailed in maintenance logs. Faults included minor upgrades and 1 lighting circuit issue. Fault find required the lifting of carpets and floors to swap out an overloaded junction box to a maintenance free connection unit. Reinstate the floor, and reinstate the carpet. This task fell to me as maintenance in the first instance with the support of additional workers should the finish need altering following the disruption.

Install new wiring systems to a range of shower units and their associated ground mounted waste pump equipment. Utilise surface wiring containment to ensure costs are kept low whilst output is maximised. Individual electrical circuit installs numbered an average of 30 per month, all of which needed to have electrical certification and building notification generated and issued to the jobs notes. I was responsible for carrying out the inspections to around 10 of this installations a week which meant my working week was split to 1 day in the office and 4 days on site. Every installation was classed as a special location. Understanding the electrical requirements for special locations, circuit design for cable runs for the high powered shower units and the pumping system equipment that were being used was our speciality.
