I am a construction and engineering professional currently residing in the beautiful PNW working for GLY Construction. I value teamwork, clear communication, honesty and commitment to the good of the project. I'm a father of two young boys and happily married to my beautiful wife, Leslie.While at GLY I've worked almost exclusively on the Microsoft campus, first as a project engineer / PM working on small TI's and Move / Add / Change projects, but then was fortunate enough to be in the right place at the right time to lead GLY's efforts on the Thermal Energy Center (TEC), an award winning one-of-a-kind utility plant. I've since supported GLY's efforts to close out a major three-tower S&C project in downtown Bellevue, and am currently working in the estimating and pre-construction department looking for new work.Prior to moving to the PNW in 2017, I served as a civil engineer at McLaren Engineering Group and designed and permitted waterfront / marine projects, including boardwalks, gangways, piers, floating docks, among others. And before that I worked for a small GC in Brooklyn, NY whose primary clients were the NYCEDC, NYCHA, and ConEdison.I didn't get my career started in the AEC industry though. For ten years, I was "Mr. Hamm" at Xavier High School, a Jesuit all-boys college preparatory high school in Manhattan. At first I was an English teacher and baseball and basketball coach, but then became Director of Admissions. From 2012 to 2016 I went back to school to get a second bachelor's degree in civil engineering at City College of New York (CCNY). I started out part time, working through some prerequisite courses at night, but eventually became a full time student again and supported myself with tutoring gigs.
