I possess 20 years of professional experience successfully blending Data Governance, Data Quality, and Information Technology. I have been involved with the entire life cycle of data management from software research and the RFP process to database design, development, and maintenance and the blending of various systems into a unified repository. Recently I've been establishing a Data Quality tool and the processes surrounding it along with rebuilding the data catalog to make the tool useable for business and data science alike. I earned my BA in business Management from the University of Northern Iowa in 2009 and my MBA from Mount Mercy University in 2015. I enjoy managing people looking for their strengths and helping them develop into the version of themselves they desire to be. I prefer roles that provide me an opportunity to interact with many facets of the company. I enjoy expanding my leadership skills and learning how to be the best servant leader I can be. I believe in a servant leadership mentality and excel in accomplishing goals and objectives while building team strength. I’m passionate about innovation. I enjoy watching TED talks to help me challenge my views and open me up to different ways of thinking about problems, opportunities, or commonly held beliefs on the correct way things are to be done. My favorite concepts are Reward Success, Celebrate Failure, Punish Inaction, and Start with Why! My free time is consumed by spending time with my family and friends and supporting causes close to my heart like JDRF and epilepsy research. I can be reached at heimsben@gmail.com
