Key Achievements:• Identified critical factors influencing the implementation of the ASF in Honduras.• I provided actionable recommendations for policymakers, healthcare managers, and international stakeholders to strengthen health systems and combat antibiotic resistance in Honduras and potentially other Central American countries.Description of Thesis:In my research, I adapted and applied the Swedish Antibiotic Smart Framework (ASF) to the healthcare context of Honduras. I conducted a rapid desk review and stakeholder analysis using ReAct Toolbox tools. Additionally, I developed and validated interview questions and conducted key informant interviews in Honduras. The data gathered was analyzed to assess the adaptability and implementation of the ASF in Honduras. Throughout this process, I collaborated closely with supervisors and key members from Folkhälsomyndigheten, ReAct, Karolinska Institutet, and local stakeholders in Honduras.

I reached out to prospective sponsors, successfully secured deals, and supervised the product deliveries. My goal was to ensure the event had valuable partnerships that would share TEDxKI philosophy.

Key Achievements:• I conducted a comprehensive study comparing the Swim-up method and Zymot microfluidics for sperm sorting.• Demonstrated that both Swim-up and Zymot methods significantly reduce ROS levels in spermatozoa.• Showed that Zymot microfluidics isolates spermatozoa with lower DNA fragmentation compared to the Swim-up method. Leading to its adoption at University Hospital of North Norway• Utilized advanced imaging techniques, including quantitative phase contrast microscopy (QPM) and standard phase contrast imaging, to analyze spermatozoa quality.• Successfully employed various analytical tools and software, such as Oxisperm II, Halosperm G2 kit, and GraphPad Prism, to measure ROS levels, DNA fragmentation, and statistical significance.Description: I successfully conducted a comparative study on traditional sperm sorting methods and non-invasive microfluidics techniques. My research emphasizes the formation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and DNA fragmentation as objective measurements of spermatozoa quality.

Key Achievements:• Conducted a thorough study on the effects of Sucnr deletion on mesenchymal markers such as leptin receptor (LepR), Nestin, and Adipoq.• Utilized qRT-PCR to analyze gene expression in wild-type and Sucnr knock-out bone marrow pellets.• Helped to establish protocols for the expansion and differentiation of mesenchymal stromal cells into adipocytes.• I was able to demonstrate that Sucnr deletion does not affect the expression of LepR, Nestin, and Adipoq in bone marrow.• Identified age-related differences in gene expression, showing reduced levels of LepR, Nestin, and Adipoq in older mice compared to middle-aged mice.Description: I researched the hematopoietic stem cell (HSC) niches. I conducted an in-depth study on the regulatory factors affecting HSCs and myeloid cells.
