Supports Medical Group sales teams' efforts nationally in their selected large accounts and IDNs (existing customers and prospects) by engaging with those accounts to understand their business needs and make recommendations on where HSI can use supply chain technology to address their needs. Works directly with sales executives to target accounts and to coordinate the right technology solutions considering the sales situation (competitive position, size of opportunity, timing, etc). Works directly with HSI IS and Global Supply Chain to develop and implement technology solutions.

•Responsible for developing specialized technology solutions for potential and existing customers through the evaluation of the customer’s needs, and presenting recommendations in a clear and professional manner.•Regularly meets with Supply Chain, Information Technology, and Operations executives to develop roles and responsibilities as well as facility specific action plans for implementation of new technologies and inventory control practices. •Expert level understanding of IOS software. Responsible for new customer implementation, training, and account management. Mentors and manages Materials Managers, Clinicians, and Administrators on JIT purchasing, contract negotiations, and product conversions for cost savings across contracted facilities and IDNs.•Expert level understanding of EDI, punch out, and e-catalog ordering. Responsible for training Materials Managers on how and when to use each given technology to improve productivity.•Identifies technology trends and updates and communicates them to customers to continue to provide value after the initial implementation is successfully completed. Advises Supply Chain Executives on the features outside of their current technology packages, and demonstrates why each would bring value.•Understands all product categories and is responsible for giving specific recommendations on which vendors to order each category of supplies from to ensure great customer service and pricing.•Managed successful prime vendor conversions at several facilities resulting in cost savings, improved service, order fill rates, and customer satisfaction.•Oversees two part-time, direct report employees whose primary responsibilities include database administration and item master oversight.
