The passion that drives me is to get the products I developed to customers, gage their feedback, and see that the products improve people’s lives. Presently I am in product development and business development of clean tech products, in particular electric vehicles, mass energy storage systems, and energy efficient LED products. I work globally.I am an Advisor to Electradrive, a startup with an innovative business model and a California CTO winner. I search for efficient technologies that can be articulated and implemented for Electradrive and drive potential partnerships. This is a natural as I was involved in brushless DC motors and high energy product magnet motors in the storage industry. I am also helping Electradrive raise funding.I am also taking on CTO role at Silicon Standard. The objective is to provide energy storage solutions to utilities, in the 1 to 10 MWH and 1 to 10 MW range, cost effectively with high power and good turn around efficiency. The end customers will be folks like Southern Company and Cavallo Energy. These ancillary services and storage products don’t exist today.I founded Huang Engineering LLC, a company that sells products and offers consulting services. Our products are precision mechanisms, actuators, electric motors and generators, and I consult in the same space. Multitest Ag, who integrates a patented actuator I produce, found their pick and place IC tester can offer much better throughput for their customers. At TDK, I was responsible for several divergent product lines: Brushless DC motors for HDD, voice coil motors, thin film optical products, precision contract manufacturing, thin film magnetic sensors, and wireless (UWB) modules. The common denominator is creatively leveraging company assets into new revenue.
