I have over 11 years of experience in the field of materials science. I specialize in failure analysis of engineering materials, both polymeric and metallic, at both the component and system levels. My work has focused on the quality assurance and optimization of manufacturing processes for a range of components from consumer electronics to automotive components to solar arrays.I have had experience with a wide range of engineering materials from carbon steels to shape memory alloys, to ultra-thin chemically toughened display glass to a variety of adhesives and polymers utilized in consumer electronics. In addition to failure analysis, I have worked in R&D for NASA, and in technical sales & business development in the power and oil & gas industries. I have conducted over 240 failure investigations and authored 18 technical publications, and was an active member of ASM Int’l (‘12-‘13 Chapter Chair).
