Ben Kaplan was previously a Machine Learning Engineer at Dia & Co, where he worked with senior stakeholders and product managers to identify and define requirements for data products, including ML models and APIs, that addressed specific business needs, such as improved operational efficiency. He was then responsible for the initial research and data exploration, the technical design of the micro-service components, as well as their development and deployment to production. As an Insight Fellow in 2017, he developed the Newsiness Initiative- a web application for consumers and editors that utilized vector representations of text to quantify the analysis and opinion content in the articles they are reading and writing. He's also been a member of the international ATLAS collaboration, for over a decade, at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) in Geneva, Switzerland, and has led numerous research projects that have been published in leading journals.
