JAB, the Juniata College Student Activities Board, is the largest club on campus with membership averaging 100-200 participating students per year. JAB is responsible for events such as Friday Night Live (Commedians, Bands, Magicians etc.), Mountain Day (Juniata’s surprise Day-Off from classes), Madrigal (Winter Formal Dinner and Dance), Major Event (Spring Concert) and May Day (Student/Faculty Award brunch). It also advises the events and budgets for other club activities on campus, allocating funds for various activities sponsored by a host of campus affiliated groups.I have been an active participant in JAB for four years and served in a number of leadership roles and positions in the organization. From planning and executing programs to financial mamangement and developing visions, my interpersonal skills, programming, negotiating, time management, customer service and creativity skills have been enhanced tremendously. My responsibilities were the following:• Develop a marketing plan for Juniata's largest on-campus club• Aim to increase awareness on campus and within the community• Motivate student members to ensure implementation of the complex marketing plan• Manage organizations budget of around $100,0000• Plan, coordinate, and implement member recruitment initiatives• Publicize in conjunction with the committees all JAB events in a timely fashion usingvarious mediums such as Facebook, Twitter, Daily Announcements, etc.• Assist the Office of Student Activities with the coordination and organization of JAB trainings/retreats• Coordinate social events for JAB• Oversee the Friday Night Live/Major Event committees
