I've founded QUBE to scratch a personal itch which i stumbled upon while i was working at DPX.I found out that receiving quotations, comparing quotations and booking ocean freight was really time consuming, not transparant at all and it could take ages before you received and actual quote. Not even discussing the way the communication was done through phonecalls & email.While Skyscanner & Booking.com where rising stars which offered a similar service i started looking if something similar excisted for the ocean freight for the Dutch market. I was amazed that something didn't exist in the Netherlands so that's when i took the chance to build the online ocean freight platform myself.After trying to make it work for 1,5 years i had to decide to quit the project because i made mistakes in the whole proces and there wasn't any space left to start over again.

SPONC was founded while is was still trying to make my ocean freight platform QUBE work. I found out that the margin on customs declarations was higher than on ocean freight and because the platform wasn't going to work due to my mistakes i changed the course and started focusing on making export declarations.The customs branche was not a whole lot different than the ocean freight branche which made me think of developing an online tool which made it easier and cheaper for SME's to file their export declarations through my system.Learning from my mistakes I partnered up with Langdon Systems while their where already active in developing customs software for langer corporations and not yet active in the market space for SME's.At first we build a proof of concept which was positively received by many.Some of the reactions i've gotten within the branche was that a was shining a new light on the way customs declarations could be taken care off.Whilst I was developing SPONC, Brexit came along which offered huge potential for my concept.During this period i got a lot of traction through my blogposts and i even made it to the national news!Eventough i got more traction and was noticed more often i didn't result in enough sales to keep the business moving forward.I had good hopes that Brexit would be the deal breaker which would trigger enough sales to take SPONC to the next level.Unfortunately, Brexit kept getting postponed which eventually made me decide to stop this project as well..

BAS Truck Center is part of the BAS Holding which is known for their "Global Truck Concept". Within this concept BAS Truck Center takes care of the Volvo & Renault truck dealership for 4 region in the South of the Netherlands. During my employment at BAS Truck Center I took the region of Tilburg for my account. Tilburg is known for it's lively logistics sector and has a big variety of logistics companies. Clients could vary from local construction companies to large LSP's. With the Global Truck Concept embedded in the DNA of the whole BAS organisation, there is no trucking related floorer which couldn't be tackled if you used the concept the right way. Looking back at my employment at BAS is realize that i learned a lot and it made me a better sales person. Until this day i am still very grateful for having experienced the Global Truck Concept and the importance of having a company wide goal and vision!

Rabbit Racing found its origin in their private racing team which started using more bikes during a season and started selling them on the side. When I started working at Rabbit-Racing it was a small to medium sized Kawasaki Motocross Dealer, but when I left Rabbit-Racing it was the biggest Kawasaki MX dealer in the Netherlands.The strength of Rabbit Racing was that it was on the forefront of trends in the motocross sport, offering package deals and to top it off the tuning of the bikes was state of the art which also attracted a lot of clients.More recently Rabbit Racing changed from being a motocross dealer to becoming a MTB dealer.This change was a smart decision and shows good entrepreneurship moving away from a stalling market and moving to an emerging market.
