Co-Founder And Lead Logistics Coordinator (2014) / Hackathon Director (2015)Sb Hacks Apr 2014 - May 2016In 2014-15 I lead the logistics team to rent four charter buses to give free transportation to over 200 college students from across the state, secured a venue for over 500 collegiate hackers, provided food and Wi-Fi for a continuous, weekend-long event, and worked directly with school administration on other event planning details. In 2015-16 I facilitated communication between all teams and lead general meetings. I was responsible for training a team of mostly new members and choosing sufficient leaders for individual teams. I oversaw the completion of event details including: fundraising, previously mentioned logistics issues, website and registration re-design, and re-branding of the event.

Patrol Guide/ Senior Patrol Leader/ Youth Course Director/ Assistant Course DirectorNational Youth Leadership Training - Boy Scouts Of America 2009 - 2012I spent five years participating in the NYLT program, first as a participant of the program, learning leadership concepts such as proper communication, interpersonal relations, problem solving and team building. As a first time staff member at NYLT the following year, I was in the position of Patrol Guide. My responsibilities were to work directly with my patrol, a group of 6 boys. I lead breakout sessions about leadership concepts, encouraged patrol members to take on leadership responsibility, and resolved minor conflicts. The next year, I took on the role of Senior Patrol Leader. I was now responsible mainly for overseeing the youth staff of my troop, including all Patrol Guides, resolving conflicts between staff members and participants, co-running monthly meetings before camp to train youth staff, schedule youth staff speakers for lectures during camps, running morning opening ceremonies, and working with the other Senior Patrol Leader to coordinate logistics between the two troops. My third year involved as a staff member of NYLT came with even greater responsibility. As a Youth Course Director, I oversaw the entire event, including all youth staff, was responsible for training all youth staff in the monthly meetings prior to camp, ultimately responsible for all conflict resolution between campers and staff, worked closely with the Adult Course Directors, and directly supervised two Senior Patrol Leaders. I was also responsible for bringing in female youth staff from Girl Scouts and seeing to a seamless and prosperous integration of the NYLT program. In my final year involved with NYLT, I was the youngest adult Assistant Course Director at age 18, working directly with the two Course Directors (whom I worked with in previous years) as well as the other Assistant Course Director. Together, we curated a Scout-run camp, where youth staff were chiefly responsible for day-to-day operations, as well as the monthly staff development meetings prior to camp.
