Working in the customer service industry for 6-7 years, I have learned many important lessons through my experiences. The most important lesson I have learned is communication is key. Working in retail sales for a year at GameStop I learned how to properly communicate face to face and over the phone with consumers. Working as a server and bartender at Trinity Landing Senior Living Community I have learned how to properly communicate with consumers of all different demeanor's in order to create the best experiences possible. Communication is not the only lesson I have learned, working as a team is another important factor in being successful in a position. Individual performance is important, but being able to work as a team to accomplish goals is just as important. Even in my time at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington I have had to practice and improve my communication and teamwork in order to achieve what I have. These skills are what led me to be successful in the Rite-Hite sales competition, placing second place overall. I am constantly seeking to learn new skills and improve upon my current skill set and look forward to what the future holds.
