As a member of Able's Executive Leadership Team, I oversaw Able's Product Strategy and Design disciplines. I set the strategic priorities for those teams and managed the discipline leads that drove the execution of that strategy. I also contributed to a wide array of strategic initiatives ranging from recruiting key hires to product strategy for new clients.

I was accountable for the growth and success of the product team at our New York City headquarters. This involved supporting business development efforts as well as recruiting, coaching, and managing our team of Product Designers and Product Managers.

Lead the product development process in collaboration with product managers, product designers, and external partners. As a member of the team responsible for guiding the broader engineering organization that builds and ships the products in our portfolio, I used my deep technical experience to evaluate, prototype, and de-risk potential solutions to the problems we were trying to solve.

Vaunte was a peer-to-peer marketplace for luxury goods. As the lead engineer, I was deeply involved in all levels of our stack from planning and architecture all the way through implementation. I worked closely with other engineers, the CTO, and Design Director to develop and ship consumer-facing tools for buying, selling, and authenticating high-end fashion products. I also led backend enhancements to business-critical components such as our payments system, e-mail marketing infrastructure, and the architecture and implementation of a recommendations engine built on Neo4j.

Collaborated with the digital development manager and social media manager on efforts to stabilize the company's e-commerce platform and enhance the company's engagement with its rabid online fanbase. Those efforts included:• Making UX and UI improvements across the website with special attention paid to the film browser.• Developing My Criterion, a tool for fans to track their film collections and share curated lists.• Re-architecting the e-commerce platform and migrating the site from Engine Yard to Heroku. This dramatically improved our ability to scale and handle large amounts of traffic which in turn allowed us to run multiple hugely successful flash sales.• Generating content for social media campaigns. One notable piece of content I created is a photoshopped picture of Akira Kurosawa and Arnold Schwarzenegger together on the set of Kindergarten Cop. This was created as part of an April Fools Day campaign and I periodically come across the photo being shared online by people who still think it's real.

Took over and led engineering in the lead-up to Food52's launch. After assessing the state of the in-progress work, I prioritized and led the execution of the engineering team's efforts and guided the product to a successful launch.

Worked with a team of engineers on the frontend and backend code of the websites for the magazines Travel + Leisure, Food & Wine, and Departures. As part of the development process, I worked closely with the editorial teams to collect product requirements and feedback for the admin tools. I also managed a small team of interns.

Produced online content such as Google Maps and slideshows for Travel + Leisure and Food & Wine Magazines.
