I have over a decade of experience at the federal and state levels working in legislation, communications, and public engagement, with a focus on public transportation and economic mobility. I’m fortunate to have joined the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) as a Congressional and public affairs specialist in 2014. In this role, I provide Congressional offices with information on FTA programs and technical assistance on legislation. I also advise senior FTA and USDOT officials on public transportation policy as well as developments on Capitol Hill and across the nation, building constructive relationships between executive branch leaders, legislators, and industry stakeholders. I've also served as a detailee to House and Senate committees working on surface transportation reauthorization. Outside of work, I have written on urban policy issues for Greater Greater Washington and served on DC transportation advisory councils. In those rare moments when I’m not thinking about transit, my wife and I like to travel as much of the world as we can, play all kinds of obscure board games, and engage in neighborhood-based culinary economic stimulus (order takeout).
